BetterOS Terms of Service

Welcome to BetterOS! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BetterOS platform ("Platform"), operated by you ("we," "our," "us").

By signing up for or using BetterOS, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

Who We Serve

BetterOS is a software platform for education agents and companies ("Users," "You," "Your") to manage student applications, add and sell programs and services, collaborate with teams, and track performance. BetterOS is owned and operated by Better Tech Pte. Ltd. Singapore.

Platform Use

You may use the Platform to:

• Add and manage your own student records
• Add and manage your own services and programs from institutions you have direct contracts with
• Submit applications to programs
• Add schools or programs not affiliated with BetterOS
• Invite counselors, sub-agents, or ambassadors
• Generate and track referral activity

You are responsible for:

• All content you upload, including services, programs, student data, and documents
• Ensuring your own data practices comply with applicable privacy laws of the country you operate in
• Ensuring you have rights to share or promote any third-party programs you upload
• The input

Note: BetterOS does not vet or endorse programs added by Users.

User Responsibilities and Use of Platform

As a BetterOS user, you are solely responsible for all activities conducted through your account and for your use of the platform, including but not limited to the content you upload, generate, share, or distribute using the system or any integrated AI tools. BetterOS provides the technology and infrastructure to support your operations, but we do not manage, control, or take responsibility for how you conduct your business or utilize the platform's features.

Your use of any AI-driven tools available within BetterOS (including but not limited to GPT-based models or third-party integrations) is entirely at your own discretion and risk. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, and usage restrictions.

BetterOS makes no warranties regarding the outputs of AI systems or their fitness for any particular purpose. Any content, suggestion, or automation generated by AI tools must be reviewed and verified by you. You acknowledge and agree that BetterOS shall not be liable for any consequences, damages, or claims arising from your reliance on or misuse of AI-generated content.

You further agree not to use the platform to:

• Violate any third-party terms, including OpenAI's terms of use and any relevant AI providers integrated into the system.
• Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights.
• Engage in unlawful, deceptive, or harmful activities.

By using BetterOS, you acknowledge that the system is a tool—not a substitute for your own business judgment, legal compliance, or professional advice.

Data and Privacy

• BetterOS processes data on your behalf. You are the data controller for your student data.
• You must provide your own Privacy Policy to students or anyone whose data you collect.
• We will never sell your student data or use it for unrelated purposes.

Subscriptions and Payments

• Certain features require a paid subscription.
• You will be billed according to the plan you select.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
• Failed payments may result in restricted access.

No refunds are issued for unused time unless required by law.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload false or misleading program information
• Upload and sell bogus or fraudulent services to anyone
• Use the Platform for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to bypass our billing system
• Interfere with other users' data or access

We reserve the right to suspend and terminate your account if you violate these rules.

User Content & Ownership

• You retain ownership of your content (students, programs, branding).
• By uploading, you grant us a license to host and display your content only as needed to operate the Platform.
• You are solely responsible for any disputes with third-party schools you list and upload in your own platform.

Third-Party Programs

If you add programs/ schools/ services not officially partnered with BetterOS:

• You must ensure accuracy of information
• You are liable for all claims or issues related to those listings
• BetterOS assumes no responsibility for external program outcomes, communications, or offers

Communication

By using the Platform, you agree to receive service-related emails (account activity, billing, system updates). You may opt out of marketing communications.

Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:

• Post the updated version with the "Effective Date"
• Notify users via email or in-app notice

Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We provide the Platform "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time and you will be notified by email and your continued use of BetterOS after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
